Earlier this week Sony announced that Nier Replicant, Civilization 6 and Unpacking would all join the PS Plus Extra games line-up in September 2023. Launching on September 19, the next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games also include the likes of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Cloudpunk, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Planet Coaster: Console Edition, This War of Mine: Final Cut and Call of the Sea. Unfortunately, however, it’s not all good news, because what Sony didn’t tell you is that nine games will be leaving the service on the same day.
Indeed, if you’re halfway through games such as Deathloop, Watch Dogs 2 and Chicory A Colorful Tale, then consider this your last chance warning to finish playing.
The aforementioned games will be leaving the service on the morning of September 19, alongside the original Watch Dogs, Umbrella Corp and Nidhogg 2.
That’s on top of Death End reQuest 2, Through the Darkest of Times, and even epic tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
Deathloop is arguably the biggest and best game of the bunch, developed by Dishonored and Prey studio Arkane.
The game features a unique time loop feature, where players will attempt to assassinate multiple foes throughout the course of a single day.
Indeed, you’ll need to use your knowledge of the environment and enemies to quickly take care of each target in a single loop.
It also features a thrilling multiplayer element where players can be invaded by rival assassins.
The loss of the former PlayStation exclusive was an inevitable following Microsoft’s acquisition of Arkane publishing company Bethesda. If you’re a PS5 owner without an Xbox, then you’d better hurry up and finish Deathloop before it leaves PS Plus Extra on September 19.
