Is there any look Maya Jama can’t pull off? The “Love Island” host has not only wowed legions of fans with her incredible array of outfits on the reality show, but she is fast becoming a style icon in the eyes of designer brands, too. And she’s not afraid to take on a whole new look. Jama has been chosen as the face of Dolce & Gabbana and wows in its new autumn/winter campaign with a fresh new take on bombshell.
Looking barely recognisable, Jama rocks a short, bouncy red hairdo, courtesy of a wig, in the style of Marilyn Monroe. Her seductive ensemble is heightened thanks to smoky eye makeup and super glossy red lips, courtesy of Pat McGrath. In the campaign video, she can be seen writhing around on a black latex chaise longue to the sounds of The White Stripes, wearing a series of super sexy outfits including a fishnet minidress, red corset, and black mesh skirt and bralet. The campaign video accompanies still images, shot by renowned fashion photographer Stephen Miesel, which have been popping up on billboards across the world.
Ever the humble celebrity, Jama posted some of the snaps on her Instagram asking her followers to tag her in photos if they spot the campaign in the real world. “Can’t believe my pea head is on billboards n shop windows around the world,” she wrote. Of her new beauty look and raven hair, she wrote a few days later, “Loved trying a new hair & make up look .. she’s versatile”.
Jama is currently in Fiji, filming the brand new series of “Love Island Games” proving her career, both on TV and in the fashion world, is continuing to flourish. And it seems her personal life is doing pretty well, too, as it’s rumoured she’s back in a relationship with Stormzy after the pair were spotted holding hands on a Greek holiday this summer. While she’s yet to comment on her romance, it’s clear she’s in a love affair with fashion and we are here for it.
