Lily James has become quite the hair chameleon this year, and we are here for it. Just in time for Christmas, the “Pam & Tommy” star showed off a chic new hairstyle on 14 Dec. that was very much on theme for the time of year. Cut into a lob, James’s hair was back to a warm copper tone with dark brunette shadow roots, emulating the perfect feel of a gingerbread latte.
While this redhead copper tone isn’t new, she sported a similar shade at the Emmys to match her copper Versace dress, the cut is the shortest it’s been this year. The lob sits just on her shoulders as hairstylist Christian Wood shaped her curtain bangs to form an effortlessly elegant look. The portrait shots were taken by Sofia Tilbury, who also created the warm makeup to compliment her hair, ahead of James working with beauty brand, Charlotte Tilbury.
This most recent look is the latest iteration in a long list of hair transformations for the actor. This year, James has also been a dark brunette as well as taking inspiration from her role as Pamela Anderson by dying her hair a brassy blonde. She also looked unrecognisable with a blunt fringe, black hair, and bleached eyebrows in Versace’s autumn/winter campaign.
As James continue to shake up her look, and theme her hair in the process, we already can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring.
