A man has his “magical wedding proposal” ruined when a Disneyland staff rushed on stage to snatch his engagement ring off his hand during the sweet moment.
Disney fans were fuming when a viral video was shared on Reddit, showing the man getting down on one knee on the dance stage and taking a jewellery box out of his trousers pocket.
It is a picture perfect moment as he pops the question in front of the Magic Kingdom castle.
When he is about to take the ring out and put it on his girlfriend’s hand, a worker in Mickey Mouse ears storms the dance stage, grabs his ring and rushes down a flight of stairs.
The staff puts his hand out, suggesting the couple to follow him off the stage to an empty space in front of the barriers.
The crowd boo and the man tells the staff that it was approved by a female worker, saying: “She said it was okay.”
But the employee replied him: “Yes that’s great! But over here, because it’s gonna be even better!”
The person who posted the video wrote: “POS destroyed my best friend’s moment. He asked for permission beforehand.”
They said it happened last week in Disneyland Paris and the member of staff “vanished as quickly as he appeared”.
“My friend also told me that he didn’t want to make the moment even worse by slamming the guy in the ground on that special day,” they added.
“He is in touch with Disney now.”
Disneyland Paris said the park has since apologised to the couple for the interruption.
A spokesperson for Disney told Newsweek: “We regret how this was handled.
“We have apologised to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”
