If you’re a Tesco customer then you’ll likely be familiar with the thrill of notching up points on your Clubcard.

In-store, the supermarket also offers special lower prices on certain products exclusively for anyone who has a card.

However, now the retailer is upping the stakes once again with a fresh overhaul to its Clubcard scheme.

Customers will no longer receive paper vouchers in the post at the end of each month as the supermarket aims to go paperless.

Instead, the vouchers will be sent via email with barcodes that are simple to use in-store and online.

If you are keen to do this, simply sign into your MyClubcard account and click on ‘statement preferences’ and swap it back to ‘by post’ by May 5.

“Our priority is to be the most convenient retailer,” Chief executive Ken Murphy said of the planned extension.

“That means serving customers wherever, whenever and however they want. No matter where our customers live, or how they shop,” he added.

As the cost of living crisis continues to blight the UK, Tesco has vowed to keep prices in check and affordable to all customers.

“Clearly, the external environment has become more challenging in recent months,” the CEO said, adding:

“Against a tough backdrop for our customers and with household budgets under pressure, we are laser-focused on keeping the cost of the weekly shop in check – working in close partnership with our suppliers, as well as doing everything we can to reduce our own costs.”
