Pop star Cheryl Baker has revealed she is “totally broke”.

But the Bucks Fizz singer gave away her “slightly stained” bed despite being hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

Mum-of-two Cheryl, 66, has been trying to offload some items via eBay under her real name, Rita Stroud and she has given away her unusual round bed for free via Facebook, The Sun reported.

The Dancing on Ice star posted a photo of the large 7ft Hugh Hefner-style bed on the sales page for Paddock Wood and Tonbridge Kent.

The snap was accompanied with the caption: “Circular bed, 7ft round (213 cms) including mattress. Dismantles into 4 sections. Slightly stained but nothing nasty – just tea and coffee where my daughter used to fall asleep with her tippy cup.

“Really comfy. No need for circular bed linen – king size works just as well.”

Cheryl, who shot to fame with group Bucks Fizz back in the 1980s, also revealed she was selling clothes, more furniture and paintings to try and pocket some much-needed cash on eBay.

And the TV celebrity has also revealed she’s been forced to cash-in some of her pensions just to pay her mortgage.

“At 66 I still have a mortgage,” revealed Cheryl. “I don’t suppose there are many people my age who still have one, they’ve been sensible with their money or downsized.”

“I started paying into pensions when I was 21 but, for one reason or another, I had to cash in all but one.”

In an interview with The Sun, she added: “So I get a £700 state pension a month plus £250 from my private one, which is great.”

Cheryl famously won the Eurovision Song Contest with Bucks Fizz in 1981 and earned a good living performing and touring.

She formed a break-away group called The Fizz with two of her four bandmates Jay Ashton and Mike Nolan.
