A dad started welling up after reading the letter his son wrote for Santa ahead of Christmas.
The bloke, who works as a delivery driver, couldn’t resist peeking at the note his child had written.
But after reading the emotional words, he ended up shedding a tear.
On Reddit, the anonymous man wrote: “I’m a UPS driver and I cried when I opened up our son’s letter to Santa.”
He attached a picture of the heart-felt note, which reads: “Dear Santa,
“I would really like to spend more time with my dad, so I would really love and appreciate it if you could help him get off work early because he is a UPS worker and people are ordering so many presents.”
The letter adds: “So I would love it if you could help him in any way. Sincerely, Jonah.”
Since it was posted online nine hours ago, the note has garnered more than 81,200 upvotes on Reddit.
Many could relate to the story, with a commenter writing: “This is heart-melting.
“It resonates big with me. My dad worked some late nights for many years during my childhood.”
Another said: “I can only imagine how that feels.
“Used to be a UPS truck driver assistant you guys work hard long hours. Keep your head up.”
A third wrote: “I’m not crying! You’re crying!”
