The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh gave the team a telling of during Monday’s episode as they were not listening during the final round.
All four contestants made it through to the final Chase against quizzing extraordinaire Paul Sinha.
They had gained a 19 step lead ahead of Paul, and were playing for £17,100 between them.
However, presenter Bradley scolded them for “not listening” during the tense final part of the show.
Paul had answered “Venus” to a question, and Bradley revealed it was incorrect.
Then, when the team had the chance to answer that same question, they also said “Venus”.
Bradley exclaimed: “You’re not listening. The Chaser said Venus and it was wrong…”
One viewer tweeted: “I’m surprised Bradley didn’t clip them all round the ear”.
While another wrote: “Bradley Walsh sounded like a teacher. ‘You’re not listening!'”
A third added: “Love that p***ed off voice Bradley Walsh does”.
Earlier in the episode, viewers slated a player for taking the low offer of £100.
Law student Kate managed to make £1000 in her cash-builder round, and Paul gave her the low offer as a result of her performance.
After she took the lowest offer in a bid to make it back for the final Chase, viewers were angered by her decision.
Paul revealed he supported her choice, as he explained: “It’s the right decision as there is very little difference between £100, and £1000…”
However, viewers were still raging, as one wrote: “A HUNDRED QUID?!!!”
Another penned: “Just want her caught for takin the low offer”.
“A person should go with whatever they earn so this Kate lady should only get £100 if she gets it and they win the final chase! Disgraceful when they go for hundreds or minus”, typed another.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
