Christmas will mark the end of an era for Andrea McLean, who is set to step down from the Loose Women panel after 13 years.
The presenter, who joined the ITV show back in 2007, struggled to fight back tears as she revealed her news to the nation on Monday’s programme.
Andrea, who has worked with ITV daytime for 23 years, revealed that she wanted to help more women and was taking a risk by following a new career path.

Andrea’s emotional speech touched her co hosts Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards and Saira Khan, who were seen crying on the live show.
In 2018, the 51 year old launched her own website This Girl Is On Fire with her husband Nick Feeney.
The website explains her plan to create a membership service to support women with their mental health and help boost their confidence.
Viewers will miss the much-loved Loose Women panelist, who has shared her struggles with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and the breakdown she had in 2019.
She has used her role as a presenter to bear all about her mental health in the hope that her bravery will help others who are going through similar circumstances.
She told OK!: “I had the most awful crash where I was depressed, I had anxiety to the point where I couldn’t get out of bed, and I’m an energetic person.”
Andrea has taken anti-anxiety medication for two years but after a “spat” with her husband, her battle against anxiety came to a dramatic halt.
She has bravely opened up about her lowest point in her struggle and the suicidal thoughts that plagued her.
Speaking to OK!, she said: “As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I thought, ‘what have I said on live TV?’ but I don’t regret opening up. I just hope people will have got some kind of comfort from it.”
She added: “I’m not this woman who’s got it all together – I have my struggles the same as everyone else.”
“Alone in my hotel room, I wanted to end it all right then. I felt Nick couldn’t see my side of things at all – and if someone who loved me as much as he did failed to see it, what was the point?” Andrea told the press.
“I thought they would be ashamed that I’d been so weak. I lay on the floor of my room and sobbed,” she continued.
The star had been fighting her anxiety for months but her family and friends had no idea.
The husband and wife have been to couples counselling and Andrea admitted to the press: “We weren’t going because we were in trouble, we were going because I was in trouble.”
In the past the TV star has recalled breaking down in tears in a supermarket, and struggling to breathe after an argument with a driver.
At one point her anxiety was so bad that she couldn’t attend the National Television Awards.
Instead of enjoying the night with her Loose Women co-stars, she arrived alone after crying en route to the red carpet event.
Her friend and make-up artist encouraged Andrea to see a psychotherapist, who helped her feel hopeful again.
