Merrell Hydro Moc
Even in this, the Golden Age of Ugly Footwear, the Merrell Hydro Moc feels like an anomaly. How could a bulbous, porous rubber slip-on designed for traversing shallow streams and rocky seashores become the undisputed shoe of the summer among a certain breed of menswear heads? By being as comfortable as the house shoes you’ve been living in all year, as practical and element-proof as the Blundstones you lean on in winter, and freaky enough to stand up to the crunchy tie-dye tees and hallucinatory camp shirts piling up in your drawers and closets. Oh, and the $50 price tag for a verified It shoe certainly doesn’t hurt.

The Canal St. Jewelry in honor of Kerwin Frost’s Cousin
“When I was a kid, my favorite cousin Kang would come visit me in Harlem. He’d take me to Canal Street each time he would come to town and buy me an iconic bootleg hip hop chain pendant. I was like eight years old with a crazy collection of bootleg chains—but my stepfather Arlo stole them from me. Kang passed away in 2013, and this year I took a trip to Canal Street to start a new collection in his name. I hold these pendants close to my heart. Rest in peace to Kang!”

Rose blossom candles and palo-santo home sprays are a dime a dozen. So Loewe, which takes a crafty, homespun approach to all things luxury, conjured a higher breed of olfactory experiences for its new line of candles: tomato leaves, cypress seeds, peas, juniper berries, and other domestic scents that feel plucked from a Victorian apothecary. Each candle is poured into a ridged terracotta cup modeled on an ancient Greek mug. Our favorite is Marihuana—all the atmosphere, none of the effect.
