It’s Halloween tomorrow and if you’re planning to bake some spooky goods, you’ve come to the right place.
Culinary mastermind Nigella Lawson has just shared a tasty chocolate cake recipe which is perfect for the occasion.
The TV chef, 60, delighted her 2.2 million followers on Instagram with the food that has been dubbed the “best chocolate cake ever”.
She wrote: “It’s Halloween on Saturday and while there can be no trick-or-treating, there is #RecipeOfTheDay: Devil’s Food Cake.”
On her website, Nigella explained the frosting of her cake is “softer, stickier than [what] you may be used to”.
So will you give this one a go?
Explaining the cooking process, the chef said: “The mixture will seem very runny for ages once the chocolate has melted.
“And you will think you have a liquid gleaming glaze.”
But after an hour, Nigella reassured “it will be perfect and spreadable”.
She continued: “It never quite dries to the touch, but this is, in part, what makes the cake so darkly luscious.”
And the tasty recipe was so popular that the chef noticed it had gone overnight.
She joked: “When I made it on Friday, I expected my children… to find it too dark, too rich, not sweet enough, you get the gist.
“Instead, I came down on Saturday morning to find nothing but an empty, chocolate-smeared cake stand and a trial of crumbs.”

Since she shared the recipe, fans were left speechless at the treat.
One Instagram user gushed: “Make this all the time saw you do it years ago on TV, the BEST chocolate cake ever.”
Another gushed: “Love this cake. And every time it turns out looking like I got it from a cake shop! Also devilishly tasty.”
A third commented: “What a treat.”
