Coronation Street favourite Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) pulled out all the stops on Wednesday to prevent Geoff Metclafe (Ian Bartholomew) from ruining Tim and Sally’s wedding.
Tim reassured Sally that his evil dad Geoff wouldn’t dare sabotage their big day – but he was wrong.
Geoff told his son that he was going to turn up to the church without his blessing, leaving the groom feeling worried.
After, Tim told pal Abi he’s worried that his dad might rock up and ruin things after all.
As the wedding party headed to the car, Abi took matters into her own hands.
She kidnapped evil Geoff to stop him from ruining the wedding.
Viewers were delighted that Abi stopped Geoff from ruining his son’s big day.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Nice one Abi! Seeing Geoff being locked in the conservatory is the best karma I’ve seen on Corrie in ages.”
Another added: “Yes, Abi! Keep Geoff locked away like the heroine you are!”
“Well done, Abi! Geoff deserves to be locked up – a conservatory will do for now,” said a third viewer.
While a fourth posted: “Now Geoff knows what it’s like to be locked up! Now we just need him locked up in prison! Well done, Abi!”
A fifth wrote: “Yes Abi, giving Geoff a taste of his own medicine.”
Abi pretended to fall ill just before she got into the wedding car alongside blushing bride Sally and the rest of the bridesmaids – Gail and Faye.
The cheeky mechanic told Sally she needed to be a “dark room” but she had a plan up her sleeve.
She texted Geoff off his granddaughter’s Faye’s phone and arranged to meet him at Tim and Sally’s house.
Abi told Geoff that Faye was in the conservatory and quickly locked in the villain against his will.
Tim finally turned against dad Geoff last month after Sally stole his laptop and recovered horrific CCTV footage showing him abusing Yasmeen.
The cabbie then shopped his father to the police and handed them the CCTV footage.
Will angry Geoff be able to break free before Tim and Sally say “I do”?
Coronation Street continues on ITV on Wednesday at 8.30pm
