EastEnders ‘ Chantelle lost her life at the hands of her sick and twisted husband Gray during Friday’s disturbing episode.
BBC bosses revealed the character would die before the episode aired, but it seems they hinted her heartbreaking death earlier this year.
After pushing her to her limit, Chantelle finally told Gray that she was leaving him, and she was sick of his abuse and didn’t love him anymore.
He shoved her and pushed her over onto the open dishwasher, and she landed on some upright knives.
Evil Gray left her for dead, only calling the ambulance once he knew she’d passed away.
Gray did nothing to help as he was only concerned with covering his own tracks. He left one of their kid’s toys on the floor so it looked like Chantelle had tripped by accident.
The way in which she ultimately died was seemingly foreshadowed back in January.
In a scene which saw Chantelle loading the dishwasher, Gray sinisterly appeared behind her as she loaded the plates.
He told her off for putting the cutlery in wrong, saying: “How many times have we had this conversation?
“Cutlery up, or it doesn’t get cleaned.”
Gray re-adjusted a knife (and a fork), with the sharp end facing upwards.
Viewers were left completely heartbroken after Chantelle died after being abused by evil Gray for too long.
One said: “#Eastenders Chantelle deserved better, I’m f***ing heartbroken wtf.”
While another wrote: “Eastenders deserves an Oscar. That was incredible. I’m so heartbroken Chantelle is gone.”
“#EastEnders wow. I just don’t have the words. I’m heartbroken anyone has to go through that”, penned a third.
A fourth added: “Crying my eyes out at #eastenders can’t believe Chantelle’s storyline was a sad ending.”
