The Chase viewers were left in hysterics the afternoon as ITV aired an iconic throwback episode of the popular quiz show.
Contestants Rachael, Ross, Phoebe and Joe could be seen lined up ready to take on The Chaser at the start of the show.
It didn’t take long for fans to take to their keyboards to point out that the hopefuls shared names with the characters of US sitcom Friends.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Friends cast on The Chase.”
Another joked: “The one when Friends reunited on The Chase.”
A third said: “The cast of Friends are looking different these days.”
While a fourth posted: “Ross, Rachael, Phoebe& Joe(y) on the Chase. Hope they’ll be Friends by the end.”
Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan, who was in the hot seat today, also noticed the hilarious similarity.
The quizzer said to contestant Joe: “Are you meant to be Chandler?”
Before pointing out the similarity between the names of the contestants and the Friends characters.
Host Bradley Walsh added: “Ah I didn’t notice that.”
Jenny joked: “I’ll be Marcel the Monkey.”

Brad said: “I’ll be Gunther,” referring to another character from the popular television series.
Today’s episode originally aired in 2017 and was revisited this afternoon.
But it seems that the would-be Friends gang weren’t quite the same force to be reckoned with as the TV favourites.
Joe and Ross were the only contestants to make it though to the final chase against The Vixen but, with one second remaining, The Chaser wiped out the players – leaving them going home empty-handed.
Maybe it’s time for a break, guys?
The iconic TV series revolves around six friends; Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller, Chandler Bing, Joey Tribbiani and Ross Geller, who live in New York City.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
