Simon Cowell has been ordered by his girlfriend Lauren Sivelrman to give up his thrill seeking hobbies, according to reports.
The 60 year old The X Factor star broke his back in three places after falling off an electric bike at his Malibu home last week.
And now, despite reportedly taking a few steps days after the accident, Simon has been forbidden from undertaking any dangerous hobbies in the future, according to reports.
A close family insider said: “Lauren doesn’t want him to ride one of those bikes again, so he’s agreed with his friends and family to get rid of them as soon as he’s out of hospital.

“The power of the bike was unbelievable when he changed the setting up to the second one. The bike just flew into the air.
“Thankfully he let go of the bike as he fell backwards and it didn’t land on him,” they continued to The Sun.
The bike which Simon is understood to have shipped from the UK before falling off it of is described as a hyper-bicycle, which costs around £15,000 and can reach speeds of 60mph.
Simon is said to be struggling more with not being able to work rather than being told to throw out his “big boys toys”.
The source aded: “The hardest thing is stopping Simon from getting back to work too fast. He never wants to stop.”
Simon has been replaced on America’s Got Talent, which is currently being filmed, after the accident as he was told he wouldn’t walk for weeks.
The accident happened at Simon’s home in Malibu in front of his son Eric and Lauren’s son Adam from another relationship.
The insider added: “The whole thing was caught on CCTV and the footage is horrific to watch.
“He’d shipped the bike over from the UK to ride on off-road trails in the US. This accident has put him off that idea.”
It comes after a representative for Simon confirmed to People that he had been involved in an accident.
They said: “Simon has broken his back and will be having surgery this evening.
“Simon had a fall from his bike on Saturday afternoon whilst testing his new electric bike in the courtyard at his house in Malibu with his family.
“He hurt his back and was taken to the hospital. He’s doing fine, he’s under observation and is in the best possible hands.”
