A frugal mum managed to bag 22 pairs of school trousers for £2.20.
Joanna Primett looked through the bargain aisle in Asda, where she managed to get each item for just 10p.
It proved a successful trip for the parent, who has three children who apparently “grow like nothing on Earth”.
In an interview, Joanna, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, gushed over the discounts.
She told The Sun : “I couldn’t believe it. There was no-one else about, it seemed to be just me.
“I was just shocked that they could sell them for that cheap.”
The mum added: “I bought some on the Saturday for my eldest son who is 13 and is growing like nothing on Earth.
“I went back on the Sunday as I had forgotten a couple of bits and they had actually added more trousers for 10p in different sizes.”
Joanna is pleased she’ll have enough uniform to last her children for years.
She’s got enough for her six-year-old daughter and two sons – aged nine and 13.
And her nephew was in luck too – as he received four pairs of bargain trousers.
The entire shop should have cost £180, so Joanna really has lucked out.
Facebook users were very jealous when they saw pictures of her haul online.
Sadly, it’s unlikely that we’ll all be able to make huge savings like this though.
While Asda hasn’t revealed why the items were so cheap, it may be because the supermarket was trying to clear out some of its stock.
Deals are likely to differ on a store to store basis – so why not check your local supermarket to see what bargains are there?
