Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann has opened up on how “dire” virtual dating was for her during the lockdown.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, the mum of one revealed that while she was isolating with daughter Sunday, two, she was very much open to finding a special someone but it did not go to plan.
Ferne said: “I was ready for it and I’m like ‘right we are in lockdown it would be great to be talking to few guys, messaging back and forth. I know you can’t meet up with them, but just like building relationships get excited for when we come out of lockdown’ … it was just zilch!”

The stunning star, who split with boyfriend Albie Gibbs back in May, continued: “It was absolutely dead. Me and all my single friends were saying this, conversations with any potential sort of love interests or new potentials lasted anything between two days to a week, then it was dead.
“You either don’t hear back from that person, or I might not message back. Then they might pop up a week later and when they are popping back up it was still the same chat.
“It was so dire, honestly. So yeh, the love interests were not really happening.”
However, now Ferne’s life has become busy again, with her fitness platform Embodyment launching on 6 August.
This also marks the star’s 30th birthday, which she will begin with the first of four virtual pelvic floor classes at 8 am called Pelvic Power by Always Discreet.
They are designed to help woman who struggle with bladder leaks, something Ferne suffered from after the birth of Sunday over two years ago.
All this professional activity has meant that Ferne has now put dating firmly on the back burner.
She revealed: “And then now I’m on my journey of self love, I’m launching Embodyment which is super exciting, I’ve put my sweat blood and tears into that. Obviously I’ve got Pelvic Power by Always Discreet and life and jobs.
“I’ve got a child to look after and I’m now looking after a dog. I’m busy. Love is not on my list of priorities. When that’s the case I’m now getting offers for dates.”
With so much on her plate, the Essex-born beauty no longer has an interest in coupling up.
She revealed: ”I’m totally fine with being single. I’m not one of those that needs to be with a man for self validation or happiness. No.
“It needs to come from within, that is something that I’ve recently learnt. You have to work on yourself before you start working with anyone else.”
Always Discreet has partnered with Ferne McCann to launch Pelvic Power by Always Discreet, a free pelvic floor workout series that will be live on www.embodyment.co.uk every Thursday throughout August at 8am.
