Coronation Street came under fire from eagle-eyed fans lately, as they picked up on Sarah Platt, played by Tina O’Brien, taking off her protective face mask when entering a hospital room.
And it appears another face mask blunder has struck the show, with fans of the hit ITV soap swiftly picking up on the faux-pas on social media.
Characters Sally and Alya had a confrontation in Dev’s corner shop and in shot clearly hung a social distancing advice poster, meaning the pair had to stand two metres apart amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However, some viewers were displeased as Sally and Ayla weren’t wearing face masks, despite being in a shop.
“Why are the people of weatherfield above the law? Very irresponsible behaviour. They’ll be responsible for the 2nd wave! #Corrie,” [sic] wrote one fan.
While another questioned: “I thought face masks were now compulsory in shops?”
However, another set of fans were convinced the mistake had been made because masks weren’t compulsory at the time that particular episode had been filmed.
“It said the programme was filmed in march so not applicable,” one fan explained. [sic]
While a second added: “They’re not up to date as yet. You’ll see it soon I’m sure.”
In recent scenes, eagle-eyed viewers watched as Sarah went to hospital to visit Gary Windass and she was seen wearing a face mask.
However, when Sarah got to Gary’s hospital room she preceded to remove the mask so that he could hear her more clearly, despite being in a hospital.
And Corrie viewers were quick to point out the blunder, as Sarah pulled off the mask without hesitation in the hospital room.
Flocking to Twitter to dispute the action, one questioned: “Why’s Sarah just taken her mask off?”
Another added: “Hold on…. you’re supposed to leave your mask ON Sarah, otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose.”
And a third penned: “Somebody want to explain why Sarah would remove her mask INSIDE the hospital?”
A fourth fan chimed: “Keep your mask on Sarah, you’re still in hospital.”
