Even though Jim Parsons certainly looks good for his age, having been born seven years before his on-screen counterpart, he would have been 34 at the start of the series.
While fans can overlook some slight age differences between the cast and their TV personas, it would be a stretch to suggest the main characters were barely into their 20s during the first season.
Thankfully. subsequent seasons were able to give a clearer idea of Sheldon’s history and most Big Bang Theory enthusiasts forgot about this continuity goof from the first instalment.
