Leave it to extended stay-at-home orders to make us feel—at least a little bit—connected to celebrities. From at-home dye jobs to behind-the-scenes footage of some very real life, this extra time at home has changed everything for everyone—one of those things being our beauty routines, even for Rosie Huntington Whitely.
“I’ve enjoyed not having to wear a ton of makeup over the last four months,” says the supermodel and actress, whose job normally requires her to be in a full face of glam. “It’s been a nice break to just let my skin breathe, and really concentrate on my skin-care routine.”
Another thing that’s changed for the 33 year-old business? Her regular lash extension appointments.
“I love getting my eyelash extensions—it’s one of the things I love to do so much, but during the last 4 to 5 months, I haven’t been able to,” she says.
However, Huntington Whitely, who also happens to be the Global Brand Ambassador for Hourglass Cosmetics, says a new mascara has replaced her need for lash extensions during this time.
“This is my favorite mascara formula I’ve ever tried. It really gives my lashes the length and definition that they need, and drama for the daytime,” says Huntington Whitely. “I found that when I use it, you want to use it quickly, and when it dries, move on. You only need one, maybe two coats, to add the look and drama of lash extensions.”
Launching today, the vegan Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara ($29) was created to deliver the instant length and volume that extensions deliver—all in one swipe. While Huntington Whitely admits to being a little hesitant to how much “extension” power the product had before trying it out herself, now she’s hooked.
