Yesterday, James Jordan, 42, took to his Instagram page to detail his dad’s heartbreaking health update. As part of his lengthy post, he told fans he was experiencing the “worst time of his life” after being told his dad has a cancerous tumour.

In his latest column with Hello! Magazine, the dancer said his wife Ola Jordan, 37, and their five-month-old daughter Ella have been keeping him smiling, but admitted he was “struggling”.

He said: “I’ve got to be strong for my baby but to be honest, I’m really really, for the first time in my life, struggling so much.

“I can’t explain the pain that I’m feeling, it’s just horrendous. It’s the worst time of my life.”

Ola gave birth to the couple’s first child together back in March.

Giving an update on their daughter’s progress, the couple said Ella has now learnt how to lift up her head on her own and has developed a laugh.

“She’s really trying to sit up now,” Ola explained.

“Even when I have her in my arms, she’s lifting her head up so much. She’s almost ready to sit up, she’s pushing herself forward!

“She does laugh when we dance around her.”

He explained: “Over the last 4 months my hero and best mate in the whole world has been in and out of hospital with very ill health.

“We were told several times that 100 [per cent] he had had a stroke and that’s why they were struggling to control his seizures.”

The dancer added he “knew something was not quite right” when his dad was admitted to hospital for a third time.

After pushing for further tests and a biopsy, the former Strictly pro said his dad was told he has a cancerous tumour and that is it terminal.

The professional dancer added: “It was what I had dreaded, my dad has a tumour and after having a biopsy it’s come back that it’s an aggressive cancerous one. The worst kind unfortunately.

“We have been told that it’s not advisable to operate because of where the tumour is and wouldn’t actually make that much difference even if they could.”

James went on to say he is looking for the “best surgeon” to give a second opinion on the matter.

He concluded: “If anyone that reads this can advise me and my family on who is supposedly the best in this field I would be eternally grateful.”
