Fans of Rihanna across the world have been waiting with baited breath for the singer, fashion designer and beauty company owner to release her skincare line.

Three years since the launch of her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty, their wish has been granted with the similarly named Fenty Skin, both of which take their names from Rihanna’s surname Fenty.

Following mass speculation that she was going to create a skincare brand, Rihanna confirmed the news earlier this month.

In 2014, three years before the launch of Fenty Beauty, Rihanna trademarked her surname for a variety of products, leading to speculation that she was soon going to launch a clothing empire.

When Fenty Beauty was eventually released in 2017, it was hailed for its inclusivity, offering a diverse range of shades for different skin tones.

Upon its launch, Fenty Beauty offered 40 different shades of foundation and more than 20 “match stix” concealers, stating that “women everywhere should be included” in beauty.

Last January, the company received high praise when it was announced that 50 new shades of concealer would be released.

As Fenty Beauty continued to gain popularity among beauty aficionados, many wondered whether Rihanna would venture into skincare, a prediction that has now come to fruition.

On 14 July, Rihanna released a video to announce the launch of Fenty Skin on her personal Instagram account and the official profiles for the skincare brand, which features her applying a variety of skincare products in front of a bathroom mirror.

A few days later, Fenty Skin shared a second promotional video online, featuring Rihanna alongside a range of models, including rappers Lil Nas X and ASAP Rocky, to advertise the unisex collection.

Prior to the skincare line’s release, customers were able to sign up for early access on the fentyskin.com website.

Marking its official launch on Friday 31 July, Fenty Skin is now open for business for all consumers, with international shipping available to more than 100 countries.

What products are available?

There are currently three different skincare products available on the Fenty Skin website.

They are: a Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum for $28 (£21), a Hydra Visor Invisible Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen for $35 (£26) and a Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser for $25 (£19).

You can also purchase a refill of the sunscreen for $30 (£22).

There is also the option to buy the three products together as part of a bundle, titled Fenty Skin Start’rs.

The bundle costs $75 (£57), with a total value of $88 (£66).

However, as can be expected with a skincare line created by Rihanna, the bundle is currently out of stock.
