X Factor will replace X Factor ‘s Saturday night prime time slot in a major ITV shake-up.
It seems the talent show will steal Simon Cowell’s show slot in autumn, with BGT live auditions replacing the singing competition.
It was recently reported that X Factor was confirmed not to be airing in 2020.
But it’s unknown whether the move is permanent for BGT.
Daily Star Online has contacted ITV for comment.
The BGT semi-finals were supposed to air in March, along with the live final, before the pandemic brought the TV industry to a halt.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly normally front five or six semi-finals across a whole week, before the weekend’s final.

The date is yet to be confirmed, but it could be around September or October time later this year in par with BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
BGT viewers are set to notice a change in format, with the show airing weekly instead of all in one week, stealing X Factor’s slot.
There will also be a catch-up show for viewers to be reminded of who made it through.
It comes after news that I’m A Celebrity 2020 will still go ahead despite concerns over Covid-19.
No date or location has been confirmed by ITV as of yet.
